On Thursday 20th February, we hosted our very first Health and Wellbeing fair. All year groups came to the Sports Hall to see the many organisations and student groups, who were available to take questions and share information. During the morning, we were joined by Kooth, Link 4 Life, Early Break, The Proud Trust, Hamer Boxing, St. John’s Ambulance, #Thrive, Virgin Healthcare, Living Well and School Health. Our students were also representing their various groups, which included Peer Mentors, LGBT+, GIFT Chaplains and Health Ambassadors. Students were encouraged to visit as many stalls as they could and took part in a ‘Scavenger Hunt’. They also enjoyed taking part in the Mindful Macramé and Mindful Colouring activities. Classroom based wellbeing activities were also delivered in lessons throughout the day. We have asked students to fill in a questionnaire about the morning and hope to gain some valuable feedback. Mrs Fairbrother said “Thank you to all of our visitors and students for helping with such a worthwhile event.”
